The Da Kine Regulator surfboard travel bag has 3/8" closed cell foam padding with a 600D polyester top and durable heat reflecting energy shield bottom to help keep your boards cool in the blazing sun. This rounded nose style is designed to be able to carry one board up to the size listed for the bag and a short board up to about 20" in width. Inside there is a lightly padded partition so that if you do choose to bring a short board there is a bit of protection between the boards. In our image above we photographed a 9'6" Regulator bag which has a 9'6" longboard that is 22.25" wide and 3.25" thick (a little wider or thicker board would have fit without a problem). The short board in the bag was 6'8" board that 20" wide and 2.75" thick. On the bottom there is a zip open fin slot and the reflective material used on the DaKine Regulators is nice and durable (it's not aluminum foil-ish like cheaper board bags). To complete the package there is a padded removable shoulder strap and a carry handle too. Da Kine builds great surfing products and this bag is a prime example! Colors in this bag are as shown: light grey with darker grey trim. Notes: Even though this bag will easily fit a board up to the size listed for the bag, at Wavejammer we encourage you to order your travel bags so that you have a little room for extra padding on the nose and tail. Our motto is that it's easy to fill up an extra couple of inches of board bag but it stinks when your bag ends up being an inch short. Also, the shipping weight reflects the size of the box that we must ship surfboard bags in. UPS ground shipping is FREE but if you select a faster method the shipping weight will be 40 to 60 lbs due to the size of the box. |
