The World Traveler from Da Kine makes airline surfboard travel easier than ever with a roomy 1 to 4 board capacity and large all terrain wheels to help you get around without breaking your back! This bag has a 9" side wall height which allows you to carry up to 4 boards depending upon the thickness of the board that you're packing (3 for sure). If you only need to carry 1 or 2 boards you can tighten up the compression straps to take in some extra space. The entire World Traveler exterior is durable 600D polyester which is over 3/8" closed cell foam to protect your boards. This bag comes with 2 removable padded partitions that you can put in between your boards to help protect them, and there are straps with fastex clips inside the bag to help keep the boards in place. The zipper on the World Traveler goes better than 3/4 of the way around the bag and the top flaps open like a suitcase top to expose the inside which is one big compartment. This design makes it easy to pack the boards plus it makes it possible to pack most of your other stuff like wetsuits, towels, clothes etc. around your boards ..... it makes packing all of your stuff into the bag a serious possibility. You want luxury? Well Da Kine gives you a super well padded luxurious faux fur lined shoulder strap to help carry the bag when you aren't wheeling it around. When you are wheeling it, there's a rubber padded handle on the end opposite the wheels to use to pull the bag around. You can probably see from our image, but the bottom of the bag near the wheels is reinforced with plastic ribs to help the bag hold up better when you're pulling it up curbs and such. Hint: On a recent trip I had one World Traveler bag and one bag without wheels .... I brought along an extra set of tie down straps and strapped the bag without wheels to the World Traveler and saved my back in a huge way! Notes: at Wavejammer we encourage you to order your travel bags so that you have a little room for extra padding on the nose and tail .... at least one or two extra inches. Also, the shipping weight reflects the size of the box that we must ship surfboard bags in. UPS ground shipping is FREE but if you select a faster method the shipping weight will be 70 to 80 lbs due to the size of the box. |
