From Toms River and South Jersey:
Take Garden State Parkway exit 82 for Route 37 East. About 5.5 miles east of the Parkway you'll go over the Barnegat Bay towards Seaside Heights. Merge onto Route 35 North and proceed north through Ortley Beach into Lavallette. Once you enter Lavallette we're about 1 mile north on the right (ocean side). We're one block before The Crabs Claw Inn and are directly across the street from Rite Aid pharmacy, diagonally across from Dunkin Donuts.
From Point Pleasant and North Jersey:
Take Garden State Parkway exit 89 for Route 34 South, Point Pleasant. In a few miles Route 34 merges into Route 35 South. Take Route 35 South through Point Pleasant Beach, Bay Head, Mantoloking, Normandy Beach and Ocean Beach. Once you enter Lavallette go about 1/2 mile (through 2 traffic lights) and make a left onto Vance Ave (2nd left after 2nd traffic light). Take a left onto Route 35 north and Wavejammer is on the right (ocean side). We're directly across the street from Rite Aid pharmacy, diagonally across from Dunkin Donuts.
Wavejammers' home in Lavallette is in a location formerly occupied by Beachtown Traders, a "hip beach store" that was quietly owned and operated by Wavejammer from 1996 through the end of August 2008. Early in 2008 the decision was made to close the Toms River Wavejammer in September '08 and change the name of our Beachtown Traders store to Wavejammer. More importantly, we decided to not only move to the beach .... but also get back to focusing on surf and fun and that's it! With this move comes an even stronger commitment to bringing our customers the best products, at fair prices with a friendly and knowledgable crew. We're STOKED and hope to spread the vibe!
From 1988 through 2008 Wavejammer was located in Lido Plaza on the west bound side of Route 37 in Toms River. Our original shop, which opened in 1985, was actually right next door to the Lido Plaza location in Toms River. After making a lot of great friends in Toms River over the course of our 23 years there, the time was right in 2008 to go back to basics and go over to the beach in Lavallette.
While we're talking a little history here, from 1987 to 1997 we had another Wavejammer down in Barnegat, NJ, first in the Cumberland Farms plaza on West Bay Avenue and then in historic downtown Barnegat. To all of our friends in Barnegat and southern Ocean County, thanks for your support. Stop up and say hi in Lavallette.
