Original Surf Nylon Beach Britches In

In 1973 I was 12 years old and had
just bough a new pair of orange Birdwells because everyone knew that Birdwells
were the surf trunk ..... and they last forever too. After my second
session out in perfect surf ('cause everyone knows that the surf was better
back then) some low life scum stole them right off of the cloths line. I was
pretty bummed back then and it still kinds pisses me off because there's a good
chance that those Birwells may still be floating around somewhere (but they
wouldn't do me much good now anyway as my size has increase a little with age).
In any case the point is that they were great back then, they're great now and
they're still made with pride in California, US of A. As you allready probably
know, these are the original cut which means that they have a 15" outseam that
will fall at about mid thigh or so. There is a button flap wax pocket in the
back and as with all board shorts, you won't find any liner in these guys.
Note On Color: From time to time on the
orange there are slightly lighter or darker color shades that we receive. If
you order 2 pair it is possible to receive 2 different
shades.

Read These Sizing
Notes: Birdwells come in even and odd number
sizes up to 35, with even sizes only from size 36 or larger. We find that
Original Birdwells run small compared to other
board shorts. Most customers go up 2" in waist size from the size that they
would usually take in another brand, so if you are normally a size 31 then we'd
suggest a 33. If you're usually a 38 we'd suggest going with a size
40. .
